The Team

Jason Steen
Partner

Jason has been working at the centre of industrials sector M&A activity in the US and Europe since 1996 and has been ranked in the top three aerospace and defence M&A practitioners in Europe (by volume of deals transacted) for the last twelve years.

His main focus is developing creative transactions for long-established clients of the firm as well as seeking out other industrial companies for which Steen may be able to provide a counter-point to traditional thinking.

Since founding the firm in 2005, Jason has hired and trained a top-performing transaction team that is well-honed in the demands of today's M&A markets, establishing Steen Associates as a leading mergers and acquisitions firm in the industrials sector in Europe and the US with a particular focus on aerospace and defence companies.

Prior to setting up Steen, he led the industrials M&A teams at SG Hambros in London and SG Cowen in New York spanning a 10-year period from 1996. He began his career at Baring Brothers and Granville Baird in the early 1990s.

He is CF30 approved by the FSA and holds the FINRA Series 7, 24 and 79 licenses.

Jason received an MBA from London Business School and has a First Class undergraduate degree in Politics from Bristol University. He is a British national and in addition to English, speaks French.
