Sell-side services

Our relationship-driven sell-side services help directors, shareholders, business owners and other investors in companies within the industrials sector realise the value of their businesses.

Whatever the reason for deciding to sell – be it the realisation that the business lacks the scale to compete globally, a strategic decision by a conglomerate to exit from a particular business area or sector or simply that shareholders wish to see the return on their investment – our relationships help to initiate, negotiate, structure and drive a process from initial stage to completion.

Steen Associates operates at the centre of the M&A sell-side process using the relationships our team members have built across Europe and the US, together with our knowledge of specific industrials sectors and trends. Depending on your requirements and the approach taken, our sell-side advisory services may include all or some of the following:

  • designing, structuring, driving and implementing an auction of a business to multiple potential buyers
  • creating a series of discrete conversations around a sale process with a few highly-motivated buyers – knowledge of sector buyers is key in this regard
  • negotiating and advising on behalf of the seller with one or two buyers who have already expressed interest in acquiring the company.

In addition to transactional work, we help clients formulate and review possible disposal plans, long-term exit strategies and post-disposal business plans.

If you are considering selling a company in the industrials sector please contact us for a confidential and no-commitment discussion about how we may be able to help you.
